The Connections Ministry exists to connect guests to our church family so they may develop a personal faith that’s growing, and a growing faith that’s serving.
DINNER WITH THE PASTOR ///
Enjoy an informal meal with the pastor and some of our church staff. This dinner is open to those who are not members of Calvary and would like more information about the mission and ministries of our church. The dinner is at 6:30 pm in the dining room.

MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION ///
This class is a requirement for membership and is held Sundays at 9:30am-12:00pm. This class meets on the central campus in the Dining Room, and at the west campus in room 3305. 2010 Orientation Dates:
- March 21
- May 23
- August 22
- October 24
- December 12
Membership Orientation will give you an opportunity to learn about our core doctrinal beliefs and what it means to be a member of our church. During the class, we will discuss:
- Salvation and the meaning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- What our church believes about Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
- The expectations for members and vision of our church.
- How you can plug into the ministries of Calvary.

Biblical Theology Study ///
Join Matt Capps, Associate Pastor / Connections, for a look at what is the central message of the Bible? How do the Old Testament and New Testament fit together? The goal of this course is to discover and express the basic theme that gives coherence to the Bible from beginning to end. January 13-May 26 at the West Campus at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. THE ORDINANCES: BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER ///
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper both symbolize the gospel message but in different ways. Baptism is a one-time initiatory rite, proclaiming the transformation effected by the gospel; it is thus the ordinance that dramatically displays our new birth and justification through Christ. The Lord’s Supper proclaims the gospel message of Christ’s death as the sustenance of the Christian life and community. The Lord’s Supper is connected with ongoing covenant renewal; therefore we observe it repeatedly as a church family

HOW DO I JOIN ///
- We would first like to hear how you came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We also ask each person desiring membership to explain the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lastly, we inquire everyone to see if you have been baptized by immersion.
- If you have just accepted Christ or have never professed your faith in believer's baptism by immersion, we ask that you would. Baptism is a requirement for church membership. If you have been baptized by immersion in another Christian church, we do not require you to be baptized.
- Membership Orientation- We require everyone who wishes to join the church to take our Membership Orientation class. This class gives important information regarding what we believe as a church, our expectations for members, and how you can be involved in ministry here.
- Church Conference- Once the above requirements for membership are satisfied, our church will vote regarding approval of your membership during one of our quarterly church conferences
