Ben Beason
STUDENT PASTOR CANDIDATE
Introducing Ben Beason
Student Pastor Candidate
Ben grew up in Boone, NC, where he met his wife, Kaleigh, while attending Appalachian State University. Ben and Kaleigh have been married 5 years and have lived in Charlotte where Ben served as the Middle School Pastor and more recently as the College Pastor at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
He graduated with his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2020. They have two kids, Emory (2), and Caden (6 months).
Ben grew up in a Christian household with parents and grandparents who loved the Lord. When Ben was eight years old he came to a saving faith in Jesus and was baptized at his home church. In high school, he began to understand the importance of gospel clarity and that salvation is not based on a prayer, walking down an aisle, or raising your hand in church. Salvation only comes through faith alone in Christ alone.
Around this time, Ben started to feel the call to ministry when he was greatly influenced by his student pastor. He saw how he was able to teach the Bible in a clear way and relate to students at such an important time in their lives. Ben desired to be able to do the same and have that same impact on students.
During his college years, the Lord gave Ben many opportunities to volunteer and intern in different student ministries. He was able to volunteer in the student ministry at the church he attended in college and was a summer intern at Calvary Baptist Church and Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Through these opportunities, many pastors and mentors were able to affirm his call to ministry. Ben has a passion for students to clearly understand the gospel, apply it to their lives daily, and be on
