And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…

John’s gospel begins with the picture of the perfect relationship of the trinity as it has always existed in eternity. Then the “Word became flesh” and the perfect Son of God entered into our time to fulfill a promise made in the garden. A promise of restoration that would begin in a stable and climax on a hill outside of Jerusalem.
